1998 Season Summary

The Muskegon Baseball Club is a nonprofit corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of Act 162, Public Acts of 1982, filed with the Michigan Department of Commerce-Corporation and Securities Bureau.

The purpose of the nonprofit corporation is to promote amateur baseball for 18 year old and under young adults in a “play to learn” setting directed toward improving their baseball skills, while showcasing their talents at baseball parks throughout the state.

The team mascot name is the Muskegon ChannelCats.

Our goal is to play a 30 to 36 game schedule for the summer of ’98. Entry into the Muskegon Inner-City Baseball League as well as State affiliation with American Amateur Baseball Congress Connie Mack Division in the Grand Rapids Elite League will afford the Muskegon ChannelCats a full summer schedule of playing dates.

The real financial burden of delivering the team to this area for the summer of ’98 rests with community support. Local business, corporations, and avid fans are being asked to make a financial contribution now, in order to bring the Muskegon ChannelCats to life. The ChannelCats field of dreams starts with your financial support. Summer play begins in June at Marsh Field, home of Muskegon Baseball.
